A fine frenzy

Hey guys! It's yet another beautiful day in Maryland. The weather is so weird. I can not complain as long as the rain has gone away. For now anyway. I spent the day at the dentist office. I know:( but we have to take care of our teeth am I right? Anyway, I wore my brand new ballet flats that I absolutely adore. They are leopard print and satin with a beaded heart on the top. They are super comfy and look great with absolutely everything. I can not wait to don them with a blazer and denim. In other news I talked to the admissions office at Full Sail in Florida. I will hopefully transfer into their film program for directing and script writing sometime next year. Some of you in blogger land may not know that about me. I love fashion but I have no desire to make a career out of it. I've been writing since second grade and I'm currently in college for performing arts. Over the last couple of years I've gained a passion for behind the scenes work instead of on camera. Wish me luck.

My favorite products

Hey Dolls! Anyone who know me knows that I love my products. I am constantly looking for the next best thing and I rarely stick to anything. However, I do have a few favorites. Some are pricey and some are very affordable. I love L'Oreal and John Freida hair products. I can't live without dry shampoo. It's perfect for a quick style when you are rolling out of bed. These products leave my hair very soft and beautiful. I can not live without my Nexus hair brush. It's great for waves or a sleek look in which I wear the most. My facial regimen is always the same. I have my eye makeup remover, towelettes, cleanser, astringent, moisturizer, and night creme. My daily makeup routine is brown on the lids, mascara, and Nivea chapstick. I recently purchased a Smashbox pallet. I adore it. The colors are beautiful. The top three shades are to create your day look and the bottom three is for a night look. I recommend trying it out. You can only purchase it at Sephora. The pallet is around forty five bucks. They have a pallet for all eye colors. I don't have Blue eyes but I chose the Blue eye pallet. The colors worked better for me but I do intend to go back and get the brown eye pallet. I love Smashbox. I use their products a lot and they really are great. I use m.a.c blush and primer. Also I have this m.a.c lip pencil that I adore the color and wear the pencil as eyeliner. I use Anastasia eyebrow pen as well as Smashbox mascara, and Fit me concealer .I'd love some suggestions on new things to try. What are some of your guys favorite products?

No one is bluer than you

Hey dolls. Today is very beautiful in Baltimore. I'd like to announce that I am extension free. My hair is very weather sensitive so I'd rather deal with it in the fall and winter instead of spring and summer. I get the question of "What color is your hair?" all the time. My hair is chestnut brown and black brown at the root. It's two toned and I love it that way. I'm going to do a product post later on today. A lot of african american women find it hard to come across great products that work on hair and skin. No I do not go to the ethnic section in stores lol There are products that work wonders. It maybe a little pricey though. Until next time.....Dawn

Hey dolls. So today was a mixture of warm and breezy weather. Fall is definitely approaching. I was in the mood for bright colors, black, and leather. I'm wearing a target skirt, thrift cardi, and Aldo shoes. I will post "Celebrity inspired Tuesday" on Tuesday this week. I will have a few free hours to do so. Isn't that great? Yeah. Enjoy your day, my loves.

My weekly shoegasm

This is how I love to start my week; Both hot and bothered for shoes. I'll make a habit of posting affordable designer shoes that I adore. What I do from time to time is Google seasonal trends and incorporate them into my own wardrobe. I'm not a fan of following trends but I am a fan of accepting them, molding them, and making them my own. Anyway, as I were saying, I'm making a habit of posting some of my favorite cheap designer shoes and their link for persons who are interested in ordering a pair. My top two are posted below with their links. Enjoy:)

Red hot at the Emmys

No, I did not watch the Emmys. I really don't like to watch to many award shows. I just get upset whenever I do. Secretly, I wish I was on each and every red carpet, wearing my favorite designers, and taking photos among the rest of Hollywood. But hey, don't we all? With that being said, I still found time to surf the net and find pictures of our favorite celeb's in designer duds. My favorite, hands down, was Nina Dobrev. Nina looked absolutely stunning. I could picture myself in this gown. I think she owned the red carpet. This Donna Karen gown was both elegant and sexy. I love loved the fit. It was perfect and hugged every curve in a flattering way. This is how one should dress for this sort of event. FYI: Nina finished off her look with Brian Atwood shoes, Neil Lane jewelry, and a Judith Leiber clutch.

The sun has fallen from the sky

Today was at least 90 degrees outside. It was so I hot it felt as if the sun had fallen from the sky. Luckily, I didn't have much to do. Just ran a few errands and did some homework. I've been going nuts for youtube runway show's for the last twenty four hours. I just loved Dolce and Gabbana's winter 2012 collection. I posted it for those of you who have not seen it yet. Tell me what you guys think of the alphabet collection(it's not really named that).

Celebrity inspired Tuesday

Hey guys. I'm busy on Tuesdays so this post will be posted one day early until my school semester is over. This weeks inspiration comes from Louise Roe. She is style icon and my favorite fashionista. Everything about her look screams sophistication. She is gracious, glamorous and her career is what I hope to succeed in. Louise Roe is a multi talented woman and my role model:)
